BUYER BEWARE!
There have been several websites claiming to have Jerry's stuff for sale, but they are actually fakes! Many a head have been ripped off trying to obtain some of Jerry's personal belongings for nostalgia's sake. Do your homework b4 you even think about buying something like this....especially at those prices!......BTW, can someone loan me 500k?
Peace!

no way is this stuff real. first of all, Doug Irwin made most of Garcia's guitars. maybe not all, but most. i've never heard of this Bean guy. nor have i ever heard of Garcia being called "Blackjack" by anyone. plus the hat- if we are to believe that he used to wear it and give it to Janis Joplin, are we really supposed to believe he saved it for 20 years only to break out again in the videos for the Throwing Stones songs (like foolish heart or ashes ashes)? Something fishy is going on here.

patkelly:

Travis Bean guitars are real allright and Jerry did own and play a few

i remember seeing them in the stores in the mid 70's, they had aluminum necks that if i recall correctly ran down through the center of the body...guys were complaining of getting pinched nerves in their shoulders from the weight of them...lots of extra sustain though!

check this out, just scroll down to 1975 or so;

Research Travis Bean. His guitars enjoy name recognition amongst a number of guitarists. The real sexy question is where are the Irwin guitars.
